MenoSign App Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 3, 2026
Last Updated: August 3, 2026
MenoSign is a personal health tracking application designed to help users organize and track information related to menopause, perimenopause, hormone therapy, symptoms, medications, menstrual or bleeding patterns, and laboratory results.
This Privacy Policy explains what information MenoSign allows users to enter, how that information is stored, and the choices users have regarding their information.
1. Information You May Enter
MenoSign allows users to voluntarily enter and store information that may include:
Profile information, such as first name, menopause stage, clinician name, and hormone therapy start date.
Medication and hormone therapy information, including medication names, doses, schedules, administration times, patch or application sites, and personal notes.
Medication or dose-taking history.
Symptom information, including symptom severity, hot flashes, night sweats, sleep, mood, anxiety, brain fog, libido, and related notes.
Menstrual and bleeding information.
Medication dose-change history and notes.
Laboratory information, including hormone and other laboratory values, reference ranges, dates, clinician or laboratory information, and notes.
Because MenoSign contains free-text fields, users should avoid entering information about other individuals or information they do not wish to store on their device.
2. How Your Information Is Stored
MenoSign currently stores information locally on the user's device.
MenoSign does not currently require users to create an account or log in. The app does not maintain a MenoSign cloud account associated with the information entered into the app.
Information entered into MenoSign is not currently uploaded to a MenoSign server or synchronized with a MenoSign cloud database.
3. Sharing and Transmission of Information
MenoSign does not currently sell, rent, or transmit users' health information to advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties.
MenoSign does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising services to track user activity within the app.
If a user chooses the Export My Data feature, the user may voluntarily export or share information using sharing options available on the user's device. Any information shared in this manner is transmitted only at the user's direction. The privacy practices of the service or recipient selected by the user are governed by that service or recipient's own privacy policies.
4. Sensitive Health Information
Information entered into MenoSign may constitute sensitive personal or health information.
MenoSign is intended as a personal tracking and organizational tool. Users control what information they choose to enter.
Users should maintain appropriate security protections on their devices, including device passwords, PINs, biometric authentication, and other security features provided by their operating system.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Information entered into MenoSign remains stored locally on the device unless it is deleted by the user or otherwise removed through the device's operating system.
MenoSign provides controls that allow users to delete certain individual records.
The app also provides a Delete All App Data function that allows users to remove information stored by MenoSign on their device. Users should carefully review any confirmation message before deleting information because deleted information may not be recoverable.
Users may also remove locally stored application data through device-level controls or by uninstalling the application, subject to the behavior of the user's operating system and any device backup services.
6. Data Export
MenoSign provides an Export My Data feature that allows users to export information stored within the application.
The user controls whether and where exported information is shared. Users should use caution when sending health information through email, messaging applications, cloud-storage services, or other third-party services.
7. Accounts
MenoSign currently does not require or provide a user account system.
Accordingly, MenoSign does not currently collect an email address, password, or other credentials for purposes of creating a MenoSign account.
8. Advertising and Analytics
MenoSign currently does not display third-party advertising.
MenoSign currently does not use third-party analytics or behavioral tracking technologies to monitor users' activity within the application.
9. Medical Disclaimer
MenoSign is intended to assist users with personal organization and tracking of health-related information.
MenoSign is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information displayed or generated by the application should not be relied upon to diagnose or treat a medical condition or to make changes to medications or hormone therapy without consultation with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Users should seek appropriate medical care for questions or concerns regarding their health.
10. Children's Privacy
MenoSign is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Third-Party Services
MenoSign may rely on third-party technologies or software components necessary to develop, distribute, or operate the application. The presence of a software component in the application does not necessarily mean that user health information is transmitted to that provider.
If MenoSign's data practices change in the future—for example, through the introduction of cloud synchronization, user accounts, subscriptions, analytics, or other connected services—this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes to MenoSign, applicable requirements, or privacy practices.
When material changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy will be revised.
